Burt Township Water Department will be chlorinating the public water system as a precautionary measure due to a routine positive bacteriological sample from our Well #3. We will be chlorinating for the week until Monday November 22nd. as a precautionary measure only per state requirements. No harmful contaminants were detected in the positive sample but as a precautionary measure, we will be chlorinating the system.
Your Drinking Water is safe to drink. You may notice chlorine in your water, which is normal.
